Recreation abounds in Jackson Hole!
The Town is located approximately 60 miles south of Yellowstone National Park and 12 miles south of Grand Teton National Park. The headwaters of the Snake River are located in Teton County and the river offers plenty of opportunities for white water rafting, kayaking, fishing and scenic floating. For a list of operators and outfitters, please visit the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. In the winter, visitors are encouraged to ski at one of the three ski resorts in the county, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Grand Targhee Resort or Snow King Resort.
Many miles of hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails are located throughout the valley.
The Teton County Parks & Recreation department manages the Recreation Center in the Town of Jackson in addition to a number of recreational programs for kids and adults.
